You’re doing well.
Weigh-ins no longer fill you with dread.
The days of non-compliance are seemingly long gone.
You feel…
happy.
And then it all crashes around you…
Like a collapsing building, you’re crushed.
You feel so numb.
Broken.
Empty.
Once again, food becomes the enemy.
You become sneaky, lying about what you ate.
You lose all control.
Anorexia has a hold over you again…
Except it doesn’t, for you are stronger than any external force.
You are a warrior.
You fight back.
With tear stained cheeks and tissue-clenching fists, you pick up your fork once again.
You choose hope over hospital walls.
You choose your future over food restriction.
You choose recovery over relapse.
