Sometimes, when I observe photos of the universe in its purest form
– the galaxy-
or even when I just look up at the night sky and see the stars,
I feel a sense of homesickness/
a “longing” to return
home.
Is this,
I wonder,
because my body remembers?
Is this why I feel nostalgic when I look up?
Because the atoms that make up my body, atoms that originated in the galaxy, remember what it was like to exist in the galaxy/
in the “spiritual realm”,
absent of a physical body?
Is this why I feel homesick,
I wonder,
because I long for what I once had
(what we no longer have)-
connectedness?
