Portfolio of Hope

No one is looking at you
as closely as you are looking at yourself.

No one cares
as much as you do.

Such a freeing realisation
is this.

The realisation that;
you are the main character of your own life-
granted-
but,
not of anyone else’s.

&

The realisation that;
that annoying inner critic of yours will lose its power
if*
*(when)
you stop worrying about what other people think of you/
when you give yourself permission
to just be
yourself.

With an altered mindset-
an altered attitude
you should smile,
stand tall,
voice your opinion,
and tell yourself;
‘I do have things to contribute to the world’/
and that;
‘Life is too short to not be the most authentic version of myself.’

Don’t feel able to do these things?/
To say these things?,
then just
‘Fake it till you make it’,
if that’s what it takes
to feel…
okay

better.

Do whatever it takes
to remember that;
what other people think of you
me,
us
really does not matter,
at all.
