What’s the point in living,
if all you’re gonna do is cry
because…
they’re gone?
And,
likewise,
What’s the point in crying,
when we’re all * just gonna die
*(you too)
one day
anyway?
DISCLAIMER:
There is no point.
Instead of wasting our lives dwelling on the past then-
an entirely pointless endeavour-
we must take the time to cherish our loved ones now,
before it’s too late
and they’re gone,
too,
before it’s too late
and we’re gone,
too-
‘Ashes to ashes’,
‘Dust to dust’-
becoming ‘just another grain of sand’
amidst the collective
hell we’re living in.
Or…
not.
(We are not living in ‘hell’).
How so?
Because,
when you stop and think about it,
really,
when you manage to prise your eyes away from the doom and gloom of the daily papers,
and the news bulletins,
telling us about yet another war
in some far away country whose name we can’t even pronounce-
news which serves to convince us that the world is full of evil,
and that makes us feel as distanced from each other as we have ever done,
through religion
& sexuality
& ethnicity
& gender
&…
the multitude of other ways in which society tries to divide us,
you realise that,
actually?
There is more good than evil in the world,
and that;
this life really is quite something
beautiful…
And yet,
too many of us don’t realise this,
too many of us choose to keep on reading the papers,
and choose to keep on listening to the news,
eyes and ears shut to the concept of good being in the world,
until-
–BAM-
We’re gone,
and it’s too late to consider the alternative,
the truth,
that;
life is beautiful…
When we are Buried six feet under-
unaware of what we had,
unaware of who we were,
unaware of what we were-
it is too late then
to realise,
which is why we must realise now,
that we are everything
all at once–
At one,
with each other…
Now,
as confusing as this is,
as hard as this is
to understand
sometimes,
this
is the fact of life/
it is life’s very nature–
this oneness-
a oneness that is who we are,
that is who we were,
before everything got so confused in our heads-
a oneness with each other.
How beautiful…
So,
remember that.
Next time you’re feeling lost,
next time you’re feeling down,
just remember that:
The trees that bless the forest,
the waves that bless the ocean,
the birds that bless the skies,
you and I who bless each other,
everything there is and has ever been-
we are all at one,
with each other-
A united energy force that can never be destroyed.
And so,
this is what they mean when they say that;
“death is not the end”,
for,
the “departed”,
they have not really departed-
they are, in fact, within us,
around us,
they are us,
you see?
Eternal,
indestructible,
ever-present.
The reality of our existence/
the reality of life,
is this,
and,
how beautiful
it is,
to know that;
“being together” is not something to look forward to sometime or,
some place,
in the future–
an ‘afterlife‘, perhaps,
no,
“together” is what we are
now.
Never having been apart,
we are at one
with everyone.
We are at one
with everything.
We are…
together–
as one.
